Kerala records 4656 COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, 28 deaths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 4656 COVID-19 cases on Tuesday. Among these, 4382 persons developed the disease through contact, including 221 cases without an identified source of infection. 16 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 37 health workers contracted the disease on Tuesday.

5180 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 40,072 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 28 deaths due to the virus on Tuesday with the toll rising to 41,902.

Ernakulam 776, Thiruvananthapuram 705, Kozhikode 537, Thrissur 468, Kottayam 375, Kollam 374, Kannur 308, Pathanamthitta 227, Idukki 172, Wayanad 168, Alappuzha 165, Malappuram 163, Palakkad 130, Kasaragod 88.
