Lone survivor Group Captain Varun Singh shifted to Bengaluru

NEW DELHI: Group Captain Varun Singh, the lone survivor in the IAF helicopter crash that killed Chief of Defence Staff, General Bipin Rawat and 12 others, has been airlifted to Bengaluru. It is learnt that the condition of Group Captain Singh remains critical.

Group Captain Singh was taken from the military hospital in Wellington to the Sulur Air Base in an ambulance. Following this, he was airlifted to Bengaluru. He will undergo treatment at the Command Hospital in Bengaluru.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday morning said that all efforts were being made to save Group Captain Varun Singh, who was on life support at the military hospital in Wellington.
