Unique picture and wedding invitation surface as special tribute to Rawats

NEW DELHI: At a time when the nation is paying homage to Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat and his wife, who died in a copter crash at Coonoor in Tamil Nadu, his invitation and the couple’s old picture are going viral. Along with this, videos and pictures of his professional and personal life are circulating on social media.

The most noticed is the picture of young Rawat in a grey safari suit standing with his wife. This is one of the rare pictures of Rawat who is not in his uniform. He had his moustache even then and with a tilak on his forehead is posing for the camera. His wife is seen in a shimmering sari. This picture was taken when he attended a personal function.

The wedding invitation sent by Madhulika’s parents is another special tribute to Rawat circulating on social media. Rawat is addressed as son of General Laxman Singh Rawat and Captain Bipin Rawat. The venue for the wedding was in Ashok Road, New Delhi. Madhulika Rawat belonged to a royal family in Madhya Pradesh. Her father Kunwar Mrigendra Singh was a Congress Member of the Legislative Assembly.
