THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Private bus owners in the state have postponed the indefinite strike which was scheduled to begin on December 21. The decision came after the government assured that it would consider the demands put forward by the bus owners.

Earlier, the bus owners had announced that they would begin an indefinite strike as the government continued to ignore their demands. The main disagreement of the bus owners was regarding the concessions to the students. They had put forward various demands such as increasing ticket rates, including that of students, and exemption from tax.
