Fire breaks out in Kochuveli-Ganganagar express, fire spotted in power car

KOTTAYAM: A fire broke out on the Kochuveli-Ganganagar express train. The fire broke out in the power car of the train. The train was halted at Kottayam Kurupuntara station and has now restarted the journey after dousing the fire. Preliminary observations indicated that the fire was caused by a malfunction in the brake system.

The fire was put out by the fire safety system inside the train itself. The train resumed its journey after a thorough inspection and it was ascertained that there was no danger. No damage was reported in the incident.
