Shan murder: Cherthala native Akhil arrested

ALAPPUZHA: Another person has been arrested in the murder case of SDPI state secretary KS Shan in Alappuzha. Akhil, a native of Cherthala, was arrested. It is assumed that Akhil rescued the accused in an ambulance.

So far, three people, including Akhil, have been arrested in connection with the Shan murder case. Meanwhile, five SDPI activists arrested in connection with the murder of BJP leader Ranjith Srinivasan were remanded today. Five SDPI activists, Ali Ahmed, Asif Sudhir, Nishad Shamsuddin, Arshad Nawaz and Sudheer, have been arrested in connection with the Ranjith Srinivasan murder case. Police have taken into custody two RSS activists who were arrested in connection with Shan's murder for further questioning.
