Four held for attacking father and daughter in Pothencode

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Four people have been taken into custody for attacking a father-daughter duo in Pothencode. The four-member team including Faizal were taken into custody from a lodge in Karunagapally where they were hiding.

The accused taken into custody by the Karunagapally police have been handed over to the Pothencode police. Shah of Venjaramoodu and his 17-year-old daughter were the victims of the assault. The incident happened on Wednesday night at 8.30 pm.

The two were going from Kazhakoottam to Venjaramoodu when the gang stopped their car near Kattayikonam and attacked them. The accused slapped the girl and misbehaved with her. The gang attacked them for stopping their car.

Faisal is a known criminal involved in a robbery case near Mangalapuram.
