KSRTC announces big discounts on online ticket reservation-cancellation rates, to take effect from January 1

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KSRTC has announced big discounts on online ticket reservation-cancellation rates. The current charge for booking tickets has been reduced from Rs 30 to Rs 10. Tickets can also be canceled for free up to 72 hours before departure. However, cancellation under two hours before departure of the bus will not be allowed. The discounts will take effect from January 1.

If you cancel tickets between 72 hours and 48 hours, you only need to pay 10 percent of the base rate, 25 percent between 48 hours and 24 hours, 40 percent between 24 hours and 12 hours, and 50 percent of the base rate between 12 hours and two hours.

Tickets booked through KSRTC franchisees or counters will be rescheduled as per the requirements of the passengers. But this can only be done subject to certain conditions. Long-distance commuters can schedule journeys on the two existing buses through the link system. Apart from this, if more than four tickets are booked, only reservation fee of one will be charged. On booking the return journey, passengers will also get a 10% discount on the base rate.
