KOCHI: Although all the procedures in KSEB can be done online, if you go directly to the office, you have to fill up an application form for most of the needs. The application form is out of stock at the section offices. The customer should go out and take a photostat of the sample application form provided by the staff.
Applications must be submitted for anything including name change, tariff change, load change, line conversion and post change. You can also apply online but those who do not have online knowledge come directly to the office. No application forms are available at Akshaya Centers. Officials say they are keeping one or two printouts of the application.
Doorstep service-words without action
The door-to-door service was introduced by KSEB to reduce complaints and facilitate customer service. It was promised that on calling the 1912 toll-free number, officials will come to home and scan and upload documents to meet customer's needs. This was only implemented in Palakkad in full sense. In other districts most of the applications were not resolved.
The office of the Minister of Power informed that the section offices should implement the door-to-door service properly and if not received, the customer can complain.
