THRISSUR: The entire state was shocked to hear about the tragic death of Vipin, who committed suicide over the denial of a bank loan for his sister's marriage. Weeks later, Vipin's dream got fulfilled as his sister got married to Nithin at Paramekkavu temple in Thrissur on Wednesday. Several relatives were seen shedding tears as the couple tied the knot. Only close relatives of the couple attended the simple ceremony.

25-year-old Vipin hanged himself in his house on December 7 after leaving his mother and sister at a jewellery shop in Thrissur. It was learnt that the youth committed suicide as he failed to obtain a bank loan for his sister's marriage.

The marriage took place between 8.30 am and 9 am yesterday. Nithin, who works as an AC mechanic abroad, will return next month. He will soon take Vidya with him.

Nithin had earlier stated that he will not withdraw from the marriage due to lack of gold and that his family had not demanded dowry. After the marriage, the newly-wed couple went to Nithin's house in Kaipamangalam. Vidya is the daughter of Kunduvara native Vasu and Baby.
