Three serious allegations levelled against Dileep, actor likely to be questioned again, police expedite further probe

KOCHI: In the wake of director Balachandra Kumar's revelations, there are indications that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) will soon question actor Dileep, the main accused in the case of attacking the actress. Dileep will be quizzed after questioning Pulsar Suni lodged in Viyyur jail. The investigation team had the other day recorded Balachandra Kumar's statement. Some crucial information and evidence was then submitted to the trial court in a sealed envelope. It is learned that Kumar's mobile phone was also submitted. Dileep had seen the visuals of the actress being attacked, he got the footages through a VIP and Suni was introduced by the actor’s brother--these are the three serious allegations levelled against the actor.

The trial court has directed that further probe on the revelations be conducted before January 20th. By this time, Dileep will be questioned and the report will be handed over to the court. The prosecution's plea seeking stay of the trial will be considered again on January 20. Kumar had revealed that the visuals of Pulsar Suni attacking the actress are with Dileep, the actor has a close relationship with Pulsar Suni and that he had tried to influence the witnesses. Soon after this, a special team came forward for a re-investigation. Witnesses will be questioned one by one in the coming days. Kumar's revelation was at a time when the trial in the case was nearing completion. The victim had also given a letter to the chief minister seeking further investigation into the case.
