THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Senior leaders Oommen Chandy and Ramesh Chennithala were not invited for the UDF leaders meet. The party was reluctant to invite them for the discussions to be taken on issues including K Rail. The Congress had yesterday announced that they would launch a strike against the government's dream project, the Silver Line. The UDF leaders are meeting today to decide on the nature of the protest. The meeting is being held at the official residence of the opposition leader.

However, soon after reports came that the two were not invited, party sources explained that they were not invited as it was a meet of leaders of allied parties. Despite being in Thiruvananthapuram, the two had not attended the last UDF meeting. Both leaders complained that the party's decisions were taken without consultations. They had informed this to the national leadership. Recently, opposition leader came to the fore rejecting Chennithala on the issue with the Governor.
