Kerala records 4649 COVID-19 cases on Thursday, 17 deaths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 4801 COVID-19 cases on Thursday. Among these, 4281 persons developed the disease through contact, including 233 cases without an identified source of infection. 83 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 52 health workers contracted the disease on Thursday.

2180 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 25,157 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 17 deaths due to the virus on Thursday with the toll rising to 49,116.

Ernakulam 928, Thiruvananthapuram 842, Thrissur 471, Kozhikode 451, Kottayam 326, Kannur 302, Kollam 226, Pathanamthitta 224, Alappuzha 206, Malappuram 175, Palakkad 172, Kasaragod 141, Idukki 112, Wayanad 73.
