KOCHI: KSEB will simplify the steps to implement the government order to provide free electricity to the life-saving equipment of patients staying at home. The requirement of affidavit and government doctor's certificate on Rs 200 stamp will be waived. Instead, the report of the treating doctor and certificate on white paper will suffice.

It is based on the intervention of Power Minister K Krishnankutty following the Kerala Kaumudi news.

The decision was taken by the board of directors comprising of KSEB Chairman and five full time directors. The order will be approved by a full board meeting next week. The Human Rights Commission had registered a case in this regard. The commission has directed that the report be submitted before the 25th.
