THIRUVALLA: The relatives of Neethu, arrested in the abduction of a baby from Kottayam Medical College Hospital, are still in shock. She is the daughter of Rajendran Nair of Nirmalyam House in Chengannur and Anitha. She hails from a financial sound family.

She got married to Sudhi of Thiruvalla 11 years ago. She was given gold of more than two hundred sovereigns at the time of her marriage. Sudhi is an official of an oil rig in Qatar.

Neethu started living in Kochi five years ago in connection with an event management job. Sudhi came for vacation in December. Neethu and her son were at her husband’s house in Kuttoor all this time. Sudhi's parents said she was very happy here.

Sudhi returned to Qatar two weeks ago. His parents said they didn’t realize that it was her daughter-in-law who had been arrested in the child abduction case when they saw in television. Neethu's mother Anitha called Sudhi and informed about the incident. Sudhi immediately called his father in Kuttoor and sought information. His parents said that Sudhi is trying to come home.
