KOTTAYAM: Ibrahim Badusha’s arrest along with Neethu, accused in the case of abducting a child from the maternity ward of Kottayam Medical College, was quite dramatic. When the abduction case came to light, the police suspected that there could be someone behind Neethu. In the first phase, the minister and others alleged that a racket was behind this. The police then decided to question Neethu in detail. With this, she revealed the name of her lover. However, the police confirmed that her lover is not involved in the incident and took him into custody from Kalamassery. Badusha was arrested on charges of grabbing Rs 30 lakh and gold from Neethu and for assaulting her child.

Ibrahim got close to Neethu, an employee of his event management company, keeping an eye on her money and gold. The friendship turned into love and the two started living together in a flat. In the meanwhile, she became pregnant.

She aborted her baby on the instructions of Ibrahim. The two later started another company together. He snatched Rs 30 lakh and gold jewellery from Neethu for business purposes quite often. In the meanwhile, she became pregnant again. However, she got it aborted without her lover's consent. She got angry when Ibrahim went forward with other proposals. She told him that she is pregnant and was under treatment at the Kottayam Medical College. Following that, she abducted the baby and planned to make him believe that it was his baby.
