THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Police have taken into custody a car with slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The vehicle was taken into police custody from Pattom in Thiruvananthapuram.

The UP-registered vehicle belonging to Omkar, a native of Punjab, was taken into police custody. The Punjab native arrived at a private hotel in Pattom around 2 pm under suspicious circumstances. Sentences against the Prime Minister and the RSS were written on the outside of the car on issues such as the farmers' strike and the Pulwama terror attack. The car was moving at excessive speed and halted in front of the hotel. When questioned by security guards, he got upset and went to the hotel bar. The hotel staff did not give him alcohol as they noticed the writing on the car and behaviour. The man, who was totally outraged, later made a fuss at the hotel and threatened the security personnel.

The hotel officials informed the police and he left the car and fled in an autorickshaw. The car was shifted to the station and police conducted an inspection. The Bomb Squad and the Dog Squad arrived on the scene. Old clothes, cables, and electronic items were found in the bags in the car. The ink on the outside of the car was dry. Police are baffled as to how the car traveled this far with these words written on it. Police have intensified their search for him. Police have informed the top leadership and various investigative agencies about the incident.
