SFI activist stabbed to death in Idukki Engineering College

IDUKKI: A SFI activist and a college student was stabbed to death in Idukki. The dead identified as Dheeraj was a student of Idukki Engineering College. Apart from Dheeraj, two more sustained stab injuries. They have been admitted at the intensive care unit of Idukki Medical College.

KSU-Youth Congress activists are behind the murder, alleged the SFI. A clash that broke out following college elections led to the murder.

College principal Jalaja said the unfortunate incident happened when the election was going on peacefully. She said people from outside are behind the murder.

Initial reports said a youth congress activist stabbed the victim. He fled from the place soon after the incident. The police have intensified a search for him.
