KOCHI: The court postponed to Friday considering the bail plea of accused actor Dileep, his brother Anoop and brother-in-law T N Sooraj in the case of planning to endanger the investigating officials in the actress attack case. The court has sought government’s stand in it.
The plea of Dileep said the case is a vindictive and a retaliatory act by crime branch DySP Baiju Paulose, the investigating officer. Dileep had initiated contempt of court proceedings against Baiju Paulose for allegedly causing obstruction to administration of justice and that the court had issued a notice on plea on January 4. The officer is leaking information to the media. This will pave way for a media trial. He could be taken into custody and tortured and insulted in public in the new case. In this case, the plea sought anticipatory bail to avoid arrest.
Meantime, director Balachandra Kumar, who complained that the actor conspired, handed over the evidence which he had to the crime branch. Kumar said that he had the voices of not only Dileep but also his brother-in-law, brother and Kavya talking to him and that the VIP he mentioned is a close friend of a minister.
