Dispute over pathway: Youth burnt to death in Malappuram

MALAPPURAM: A youth was found burnt to death near his home. The deceased was identified as Shaji, 42, a hotel worker. The incident took place at Kizhakke Chathallur, near Edavanna. According to the witness, Shaji was set on fire after pouring kerosene on his body. The murder was over a dispute over a pathway.

Amal Huda, Shaji's daughter, and a young man from the neighborhood testified that they saw a woman and her son pouring liquid on Shaji's body and setting him ablaze.
