KOCHI: The anticipatory bail plea of actor Dileep in the case registered by the crime branch for allegedly threatening the investigating officials of the actress attack case, has been postponed to Tuesday. He will not be arrested till then. The plea will be considered on Tuesday at 1.45 pm. The court has informed to see the statement of director Balachandran Kumar. The crime branch strongly opposed the actor’s anticipatory bail plea. His plea asserted that the case was registered due to DySP Baiju Paulose’ personal animosity towards him. Apart from Dileep, his brother Anoop (P Sivakumar), his brother-in-law T N Suraj, relative Appu and friend Baiju Chengamanad have also filed the plea.

The crime branch registered the case against him based on the statement of Balachandra Kumar. The crime branch had registered his statement of threatening the officials. His revelation was a time when the trial in the case was on.

Kumar, an eyewitness to the conspiracy hatched by Dileep and his aides to threaten the officers, also handed over the audio clips recorded by him to the crime branch.

The crime branch team had the other day searched three places including the actor’s house and construction company to gather more evidence. Some digital evidences were gathered from there. The mobile phone used by Dileep was also taken away by the police. The search was after Kumar testified that Dileep has the visuals of the actress attacked and he spoke pointing the gun.
