Governor should not vacate Chancellor position; Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan to persuade Governor

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Friday made a move to persuade Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, who has been at loggerheads with the government. Pinarayi Vijayan spoke to the governor over the phone before starting to the US for treatment. The CM's phone call reached the Raj Bhavan today afternoon.

The Chief Minister asked the governor over the phone not to vacate the post of Chancellor of the state-run universities. According to sources, the governor reacted to the CM's phone call positively.
