Body found covered in soil in Ernakulam; deceased identified as Perumalpadi native

KOCHI: A body has been found covered in soil at Perumalpadi in Ernakulam. The deceased has been identified as Peumalpadi native Shaji (50). The body was found inside a small pit in an empty field.

The preliminary conclusion is that Shaji might have fallen into this pit while walking through the field after getting drunk last night. The body has been sent for postmortem.
