Case of hatching conspiracy to threaten investigating officials; HC to consider Dileep’s anticipatory bail plea today

KOCHI: The Kerala High Court will consider Tuesday the anticipatory bail plea of actor Dileep in the case of hatching a conspiracy to threaten the investigating officials. Dileep claimed that the case was fabricated by the investigating officers. Dileep has filed a plea questioning the media reporting the trial proceedings.

A case was registered against Dileep by the crime branch based on the revelation of director Balachandra Kumar that a conspiracy was hatched to endanger the investigating officials in the actress attack case. Apart from Dileep, a case was registered against his brother Anoop, his brother in law Sooraj, Appu and his friend Baiju Chengamanad. All have filed an anticipatory bail plea.

A search was conducted at the houses of Sooraj and Sarath, actor’s friend, last night. The raid was in connection with the revelation of Kumar. Sarath is the sixth accused in the case. The high court will also consider their bail pleas today.
