THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said the spread of Covid in Kerala is more severe than the second wave and that strict vigilance is required. The chief minister who is in USA attended the meeting online. The government may tighten restrictions as Covid is fast spreading in ministerial offices, government offices, police and health workers.
A decision will be taken at the review meeting to be convened tomorrow evening. There are indications that there will be no complete closure. There has been a decrease in the number of patients admitted to hospitals compared to the second wave. However, the government said there are enough hospital facilities.
Colleges are likely to close tomorrow itself. Classes 10, 11 and 12 may be changed to online. Strict restrictions may be imposed as part of reducing crowds.
