NEW DELHI: Amid the heavy rise of Covid cases in the country, the Ministry of Civil Aviation has extended the suspension of scheduled international passenger flights till February 28, 2022. The Director-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has published an order stating the same. Special flight services and flights under air bubble management will not be affected. The restriction is not applicable to international cargo flights.
Earlier, international passenger flight services were suspended in India till January 31 due to Omicron. Third-wave has forced the government to extend the suspension. The restrictions first came into being in March 2020 when Corona first wave hit the country
