KOCHI: The Kerala High Court asked the government to inform what steps they had taken before preparing the Detailed Project Report (DPR) on K Rail. Can proceed only after following all the rules. It was first mentioned as a preliminary survey on the K rail then why the DPR, the court asked.
The court also asked whether the DPR was prepared before conducting the survey. The government informed the court that the DPR was prepared as per the aerial survey. The survey is still going on and was conducted by a remote sensing agency. The government has made it clear that the central government has given its approval in principle.
The railway said no final decision has been taken on the DPR in K Rail. The high court informed that a decision would be taken after studying the matter in detail.
