Kerala records 45,136 COVID-19 cases on Saturday, 70 deaths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 45,136 COVID-19 cases on Saturday. Among these, 42,340 persons developed the disease through contact, including 2225 cases without an identified source of infection. 128 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 443 health workers contracted the disease on Saturday.

21,324 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 2,47,227 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 70 deaths due to the virus on Saturday with the toll rising to 51,739.

Ernakulam 8143, Thiruvananthapuram 7430, Thrissur 5120, Kozhikode 4385, Kottayam 3053, Kollam 2882, Palakkad 2607, Malappuram 2431, Alappuzha 2168, Pathanamthitta 2012, Kannur 1673, Idukki 1637, Wayanad 972, Kasaragod 623.
