Kerala records 45,449 COVID-19 cases on Sunday, 70 deaths; Ernakulam logs over 11,000 cases

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 45,449 COVID-19 cases on Sunday.

27,961 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 2,64,638 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 38 deaths due to the virus on Sunday with the toll rising to 51,816.

District wise breakup of positive cases:

Ernakulam 11,091, Thiruvananthapuram 8980, Kozhikode 5581, Thrissur 2779, Kollam 2667, Malappuram 2371, Kottayam 2216, Palakkad 2137, Pathanamthitta 1723, Alappuzha 1564, Idukki 1433, Kannur 1336, Wayanad 941, Kasaragod 630.
