THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Strict restrictions have been imposed in Thiruvananthapuram district amid Covid rise. Thiruvananthapuram becomes the first district to be included in the C category. Eight districts Kollam, Thrissur, Ernakulam, Wayanad, Idukki, Palakkad, Alappuzha and Pathanamthitta are included in B category. The decision was taken at the Covid review meeting held today.
Restrictions are imposed on public events in the capital. Religious ceremonies can only be conducted online. Theatres, gyms and swimming pools will be closed down. More precautions are required for offline classes of standard 10, 11 and 12. If more than 40% of the children in the school becomes affected, the Principal may close down the school. Offline classes are available only for final year classes in undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
