S Sasi, son of EMS Namboodiripad, dies at 67

MUMBAI: S Sasi (67), son of EMS Namboodiripad, the first Chief Minister of Kerala and a Communist leader, has passed away. He is the youngest son of EMS. Sasi collapsed at his daughter Aparna's house in Mumbai and died before reaching the hospital. He was the Chief Accounts Manager of Deshabhimani. His work was centered at the Thiruvananthapuram General Manager Office. He has worked at all units of Deshabhimani in Kerala.

After Deshabhimani started a unit in Thrissur in 2000, Sasi moved to Thrissur. He lived in Delhi for a long time with EMS. He was a member of the CPM Deshabhimani Management Branch. His wife is KS Girija, a former deputy manager of Deshabhimani. Children: Anupama Sasi (Toshiba, Delhi), Aparna Sasi (TCS‌, Mumbai). Son-in-law: AM Jigish (The Hindu, Special Correspondent, Delhi), Rajesh J Verma (Godrej Company Mechanical Engineer, Mumbai). His mother is the late Arya Antharjanam. Dr. Malathi, late EM Sreedharan and EM Radha (Women's Commission member) are siblings.
