Mayukha rescues three-year old boy from drowning, receives President's Jeevan Raksha Padak award

EDACHERY(Kozhikode) : Mayukha, a nine-year-old girl rescued three-year-old boy from drowning. She receives President's Jeevan Raksha Padak award for bravery.

On the evening of August 4, 2020, Mayukha, who was bathing with her sister in Chekyad Cheryvarathaazha stream, rescued Muhammad, the youngest son of the Vangol Moosa and Sakina, who fell into Chekyad stream.

Mayukha is the daughter of Cheykad Veengal Manojan and Prema. Muhammed went to the stream along with his siblings without his family's knowledge. Mayukha saw Muhammad falling into the water and jumped into the stream to save him.
