IDUKKI: Former Devikulam MLA S Rajendran has been expelled from the party for one year. The party state secretariat accepted district committee’s demand to expel him from the party’s primary membership.

The party had assigned a two-member inquiry committee following a complaint alleging that Rajendran had tried to defeat the LDF candidate A Raja, in the last elections. The investigation proved that Rajendran had tried to defeat the Devikulam candidate. “I have not been officially informed about the matter. If this is the party’s decision, then I am ready to abide by it”, said Rajendran.
