Kerala records 22,524 COVID-19 cases on Monday, 14 deaths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 22,524 COVID-19 cases on Monday. Among these, 21,033 persons developed the disease through contact, including 1207 cases without an identified source of infection. 114 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 170 health workers contracted the disease on Monday.

49,586 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 3,01,424 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 14 deaths due to the virus on Monday with the toll rising to 59,115.

District wise breakup of positive cases:

Thiruvananthapuram 3493, Ernakulam 3490, Kottayam 2786, Kollam 2469, Thrissur 1780, Kozhikode 1612, Malappuram 1218, Alappuzha 1109, Pathanamthitta 1053, Kannur 1031, Palakkad 816, Idukki 737, Wayanad 617, Kasaragod 313.

78,682 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
