1500 people will be allowed to perform Attukal Pongala within temple premises, govt announces concessions for festivals in state

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The maximum number of people attending festivals in the state has been increased. Concessions are festivals including the famous Attukal Pongala, Maramon Convention and Aluva Shivaratri.

A maximum of 1500 people are allowed in these places. Those who are allowed to participate in the Attukal Pongala should perform Pongala in the vicinity of the temple. Those offering Pongala outside the temple premises should do it within the premises of houses. Pongala will not be allowed on the road. Pongala is allowed in the temple for one person within 25 meters. Participants should keep in hand the result of the RTPCR test done within 72 hours or a certificate of having turned Covid negative within three months. There is also a condition that people under the age of 18 should not have any symptoms.
