Swapna appears before ED in gold smuggling case, arrives after meeting lawyer

KOCHI: Swapna Suresh appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for interrogation in the gold smuggling case. She appeared before the ED after meeting her lawyer.

She was asked to appear before them on February 9 but she had informed her inconvenience citing health issues. Swapna had revealed that M Sivasankar, former principal secretary to the chief minister, was behind the audio clip that surfaced when she was in custody.

Swapna had alleged that Sivasankar knew everything and it was he who directed her to go hiding in Bengaluru. Her revelation was soon after the release of Sivasankar’s autobiography.

Wrong things have been mentioned in his book. Swapna asserted that she responded against it. She said that she would cooperate with central agencies investigation on her revelation.
