PM Kisan Samman Nidhi: Farmers received over Rs 6,413 crore in three years

welfare-pension

THRISSUR: Three years after the launch of the Prime Minister's Kisan Samman Nidhi, 36.87 lakh farmers in the state received Rs 6,413.36 crore in total. The farmers get Rs. 2,000 every four months, that is Rs. 6,000 per year. By distributing the tenth installment from December 2021 to this month, 24.29 lakh people received the full amount.

At the same time, the e-KYC needs to be renewed to continue receiving payments. This process, like pension mustering, must be completed by March 31. Non-members and holders of arable land can apply through Akshaya Kendra, mobile app, portal and Krishi Bhavan. There is no stipulated land limit for this.

The applicant has to upload his Aadhaar card, bank passbook (excluding co-operative bank), ration card number and current and land tax receipts for 2018-19. These documents should also be submitted to the Krishi Bhavan.

How to update

It can be done on Aadhaar basis by clicking on the e-KYC option in the Farmer's Corner on the PM Kisan Portal, and biometric authentication at Public Service Center (Akshaya) and on mobile phones. On the new page that appears when clicked, add the Aadhaar number and search. On the next page, enter the phone number associated with the Aadhaar card and click on Get OTP to get the OTP on the mobile phone. The application can be submitted by adding another OTP received thereafter.
