Many denied offers; Prithviraj and Jayasurya asked me to return, all set to face camera, says actress attacked

KOCHI: The popular actress attacked said that she had gone through very difficult days. She said this while speaking to ‘We The Women’, a TV show organised by renowned journalist Barkha Dutt. The actress said that if her father was alive, she would have thought that this would not have happened to her if she had not been shooting the next day and wished all this had been a nightmare.

She said that she shared the post on social media thinking that everyone should know what happened to her. Often thought of ending all fights and felt that I should not have exposed the issue. However, many like WCC stood with me. She said she is still scared. Fight for justice is not that easy. Many denied offers after the incident. However, Bhadran, Ashiq Abu, Prithviraj, Jinu Abraham, Shaji Kailas and Jayasurya asked me to return and offered roles for me, but was not mentally prepared then. Hearing some Malayalam scripts, the actress said.

The actress said that she sometimes blames herself for the things that happened. The trial started in 2020. Had to go to the court for 15 days. Was mentally traumatized then, but on the last day of the trial, realised that I was not a victim but a survivor. The journey of five years was very difficult for me. Though many stood with me, many who didn’t know me was heard saying wrong things on channels and other places. They said I shouldn’t have travelled at night and all these were fabricated stories. I am not such a person and my parents did not raise me like that. All these weakened me and will fight till the end, the actress revealed.
