Five killed, two injured after Indian students’ vehicle collide with trailer in Canada

TORONTO: In a heart breaking tragedy, five students were killed when the van in which they were travelling collided with a tractor trailer in Canada. Two seriously injured has been admitted at a nearby hospital. The incident happened on March 13 early morning at 3.45 am on highway 402 in Toronto.


India’s High Commissioner in Canada Ajay Bisaria confirmed the incident. ‘Heart-breaking tragedy in Canada: 5 Indian students passed away in an auto accident near Toronto on Saturday. Two others in the hospital. Deepest condolences to the families of the victims. @IndiainToronto team in touch with friends of the victims for assistance," India's High Commissioner to Canada said.

Harpreeth Singh, Jaspeender Singh, Karanpal Singh, Mohit Chouhan and Pavan Kumar are the students killed in the accident. An investigation has started on the incident.
