ALAPPUZHA: Sujith, a young farmer from Kanjikuzhi who has made a sunflower field in the sand, has with watermelon as well. Sujith started the brand 'Natural Kanjikuzhi' by putting a QR code on the 'Madhurarajni' (Sugar Queen) variety of watermelon. QR code has been affixed on watermelons sold through shops in Thiruvizha and Pathinonnam mile in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture. While scanning the code, it opens Sujith's YouTube channel Variety Farmer. It contains all the information about the watermelon, where it is grown, how it is harvested and many more details. Sujith's sunflower field, biryani field, mustard field and other crops will also be featured in the videos. Sujith harvested 3000 kg of watermelon from one acre.

QR code scanning has a lot of benefits. It provides all details in your fingertips.

"My aim is to create a brand for watermelons from Kanjikuzhi. If the first venture becomes successful, I will launch my other products as brand itself.", said Sujith Swaminikarthil.
