IDUKKI: It was Faizal who had called and informed me that his father had set the house on fire, said eye witness Rahul. He rang me just before his death and told that the fire had spread to his room, Rahul said.

‘Soon, I rushed to the house, but couldn’t save any of them. The house was locked from outside. When I broke the door and entered, the fire had already spread inside. Hameed was still throwing bottles of petrol into the room’, he said.

‘I pushed away Hameed and tried to douse the fire. I couldn’t save anyone because of the fire and smoke. All four of them were inside the bathroom. Those children grew up in my house…’, Rahul told a private channel.
