ISL: Hyderabad FC beats Kerala Blasters on penalties to clinch maiden title

FATORDA: Hyderabad FC clinched the Indian Super League 2022 by beating Kerala Blasters 3-1 in a penalty shootout. The match had to be decided from the spot kicks after the scores remain tied after 120 minutes of football. The experience of Kattimani came to Hyderbad FC as he saved three kicks from the spot.

Ayush Adhikari scored for the lone penalty kick for Blasters. Kattimani saved shots by Leskovic, Nishu Kumar and Jeakson Singh.

Kerala Blasters opened the scoring in the final through Rahul KP who scored from outside the box in the 68th minute. However, in the 88th minute, Tavora scored Hyderabad's equalizer with a superb long ranger.

The Blasters played a high-pressure game against Hyderabad who tried to play on the break.

There were several moments in the game in which both teams could have scored but couldn't convert their chances.
