Crime branch threatening to testify against Dileep’s lawyers; HC to consider Sai Sankar’s anticipatory bail plea today

KOCHI: The high court will consider today the anticipatory bail plea of cyber hacker Sai Sankar in the case of conspiracy to kill the investigating officers in the case of attacking the actress. The plea said the probe team is threatening to testify against Dileep's lawyers and as there is a possibility of arrest requests to grant him anticipatory bail.

The plea alleged that the crime branch is harassing him and his family in the name of investigation. Sai Sankar approached the high court seeking anticipatory bail after the investigating officers issued a notice asking him to appear for interrogation. The court will consider today another plea filed by Sai Sankar alleging police harassment.

The crime branch found that Sai Sankar had destroyed come crucial evidence from Dileep's phone in connection with the case at the lawyer's office in Kochi and at a private hotel. However, he had earlier stated that the evidence was not destroyed and that he had only copied some personal data from the actor's phone.
