Huge gold hunt in Nedumbassery, 225 sovereigns of gold seized, three nabbed

KOCHI: Three passengers were caught with 225 sovereigns of gold in a huge gold hunt in the Nedumbassery airport. The gold, in the form of biscuits, was hidden in the baggage and bodies of the accused. It was recovered in an investigation conducted by the customs officials. The accused have not yet been identified, but are being questioned. According to the officials, they are likely to be carriers in gold smuggling gangs.
