RRR smashes all records; box office collection report out, see figures

‘RRR’, S S Rajamouli’s latest film after his magnum opus ‘Baahubali’, continues to win hearts smashing all box office records. The first day collection report of the movie has been released. RRR starring Junior NTR and Ram Charan also has Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt in the lead.

The film, which got released after a long wait, has earned Rs 248 crore globally on its release day. It got a collection of Rs 127 crore from Telugu alone.

The film’s ticket rates were increased in several theatres. It earned Rs 22 crores and Rs 16 crores from its releases in Hindi and Kannada respectively. From Kerala, the film made a collection of Rs 4 crore while it earned Rs 9 crore in Tamil.

RRR was able to earn Rs 69 crore through overseas rights as well. It has become the highest-grossing film in the history of Indian cinema. The film’s production had cost Rs 650 crores. RRR was released in over 500 screens in Kerala in 10,000 screens worldwide.
