Petrol, diesel prices hiked again, fifth time in last six days

NEW DELHI: Petrol and diesel priced were hiked yet again on Sunday in the country. The price of petrol was hiked by 55 paise per litre and diesel by 58 paise. This is the fifth increase in fuel prices in the last six days.

In Kochi, a litre of petrol costs Rs 108.21 paise and diesel Rs 95.38 paise today. Petrol prices were hiked by more than Rs 4 per litre and diesel by Rs 3.96 paise in the last six days.

The price of diesel price was hiked by 81 paise per litre and petrol by 84 paise yesterday. After a gap of 137 days, the increase in fuel prices resumed on Tuesday onwards. Prices are expected to rise in the coming days also.
