THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: There was a hike in fuel prices on Monday also. Petrol was hiked by 32 paise per litre and diesel by 37 paise. This is the fourth consecutive day that fuel prices have risen. Fuel prices have risen above Rs 4.50 in seven days.
Petrol in Thiruvananthapuram will now cost Rs 110.37 paise and diesel Rs 97.48 paise. In Kochi, petrol was priced at Rs 108.52 paise per litre and diesel at Rs 95.75 paise per litre.
After 137 days, the fuel prices started rising again on March 22. The price may go up in the coming days. The CPM Central Committee has decided to hold a nationwide protest on April 2 against the hike in the fuel prices.
