LONDON: The mystery still continues in the stabbing incident of a Malayalee student by an Indian man inside a Hyderabadi restaurant in East London. 22-year old Sona Biju, a Malayalee student, was stabbed by 23-year old Sriram Amberla. Both are students in London. Sona was stabbed by at an Indian restaurant where she works part time. Herhealth condition remains critical.

The incident happened on last Friday and the suspect was arrested the same day itself, but London police struggles to continue investigation as the suspect does not have a permanent address in London . The motive behind his attack on Sona is unclear. The accused was produced before the Thames Magistrate's Court yesterday. He has been remanded in police custody till April 25.

While checking the CCTV footage of the incident, it was clear that he attacked Sona without any provocation. Sona, who works as a waiter, was stabbed while she was serving him food. Sriram also threatened others who were in the restaurant when they tried to approach them.

Investigators said that anyone with information about Sriram or his attack on Sona should contact London police as soon as possible. Also, those who did not wish to divulge their information could contact the charitable organisation Crime Stoppers, which helps in police investigation. Officials at the University of East London, where Sona is studying, said they were cooperating with the investigation.
