CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin has termed his five-day UAE visit a success. With the chief minister’s visit, an investment of Rs 6100 crore has flowed into Tamil Nadu.
Agreements were signed with six industrial units for an investment of Rs 6100 crore. This will facilitate job opportunities for around 14,700 people. An agreement was signed with the UAE-based retail major Lulu Group for an investment of Rs 3,500 crore in Tamil Nadu to set up shopping malls, hypermarkets and a food-logistic park.
In addition, investment agreements of Rs 1,000 crore with Noble Steels, Rs 500 crore with Whitehouse textiles, Rs 500 crore with Aster DM Healthcare, Rs 100 crore with TransWorld in the food sector and Rs 500 crore with the Sharaf Group, a shipping company, were also signed, said the chief minister.
