MUMBAI: Ahead of the Mumbai Indians-Rajasthan Royals clash in IPL on Saturday, Mumbai Indians have shared a Facebook post captioned in Malayalam. ‘Keralathile piller aaraadukayanu’ (Children from Kerala are scintillating) wrote Mumbai Indians, along with a picture of pacer Basil Thampi and Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson, on their official Facebook page.
The post indicates that the two cricketers, who have played together in the Kerala team, are facing each other on Saturday. Mumbai Indians has also posted pictures of Sanju posing along with Mumbai captain Rohit Sharma and keeper Ishan Kishan.
Malayalees across the world have come out admiring the pictures. Many have filled the comments with “chaambikko” and “Mumbaikkara jao”, the famous dialogues from the recently released Mammootty starrer ‘Bheeshma Parvam’. Some have even asked whether the admin was a newly appointed person or not.
Rajasthan Royals, who defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 61 runs in the first match, are currently tops the list. Sanju’s brilliant batting, scoring 55 runs off 27 balls, was instrumental in their victory. Sanju has excelled in captaincy as well. Meantime, Mumbai Indians has lost their first match. Delhi Capitals defeated them by four wickets. Despite losing, Basil Thampi had taken three wickets for Delhi in their first match.
